Baalbeck

 

Hadi Harb was born in Baalbeck, Lebanon, in 1978. He studied Electrical-Electronic Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering III, Lebanese University in Beirut. In 2000, after getting his diploma, he went to France where he started a MSc in "Multimedia Documents, Images and communicated Information Systems" at the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Lyon. In 2001, he started a PhD thesis entitled "Semantic Audio Classification for Content-based Multimedia Indexing" at the Central School of Engineering in Lyon. He was involved in audio-indexing part of the national RNRT-Cyrano project. In 2003 he obtained his PhD in computer science. He's currently a postdoctoral fellow at the LIRIS lab in Lyon working on the recognition of musical signals in mobile environment. He is currently involved in the national ACI-Musicdiscover project.
