Linked Open Data project¶
The project is to write a Summary Report (SR) of up to 10 pages on a topic related to big data: a technology or an application domain, such as
- Big data and medicine,
- Big data and environment,
- Big data and art,
- Big Data and ecology (e.g., on a large data-driven program),
- Big Data and a scientific project (in astronomy, or in genomics…)
- etc.
The project will also involve developing a data processing task using the LoD technology, based on Open data relevant to the topic of the SR. The group of three (3) students and the subject of the project must be validated by the supervisor beforehand.
The project and algorithms will be presented in the context of a collective presentation to share each other’s work with the rest of the class during the last session (for 2024-2025 : March, 17th 2025).
Each project will be evaluated on the basis of: - 20 minutes of presentation and 5-10 minutes of questions during the last session (20% of the final mark) - rating of the report (20% of the final mark)
Both the report and the slides must be send to the TWO (2) supervisors the day of the presentation. Any late submission will be penalized.
